“I need to congratulate all your parents for having shown the courage in trusting you all with us,” said Shrinivas Dempo, owner of Dempo Sports Club whilst congratulating the members of the sub junior, junior and U-18 teams that triumphed in the Goa Football Association and AIFF age group tournaments during the 2019-2020 season.
The Dempo SC age group teams won all the GFA age group titles and finished the sub junior and junior leagues triumphant having finished the Elite League as runners up on goal difference.
“The journey has just begun but I can say the investment in an Academy was a good decision. The dream is to one day have 50 per cent of the boys in the India team from the Dempo Academy,” said Dempo as he extolled the boys to keep doing better at the national level.
The three Dempo SC age group teams now play in the all India final round scheduled to start in April.
“Dempo SC stands for fair play and discipline. Never react even if the referee has made the biggest blunder. Short cuts do not work in any profession,” stated Dempo.
