Dhempe College family extends its heartiest congratulations to Mr. Sanjeet Hegde Desai, an alumnus of the institution (HSS 1987-89 batch) for his major contribution in introducing Konkani as one of the languages in Google translate service. Mr. Sanjeet Hegde Desai works as a Senior Manager, Business Systems at Google in California, USA, who pushed this to the Google managerial board.
It is a great pride for all the Konkani lovers, the institution, and the state of Goa for his contribution which has put the language of Konkani on the world map. This initiative will help translators, scholars engaged in research in Konkani, language learners, and also the common people.
